Solar Charging
If you have solar panels installed at home, your charger can be set up to receive power from them. The charger will take any surplus solar power that’s above 1.4kW not being used by your home, to charge your EV.

British-made, the Indra Smart PRO EV charger enables you to take advantage of off-peak energy tariffs from your supplier and free surplus power from your solar panels without needing to buy additional kit.
There’s no need to worry about your 7.4kW home charger tripping your house fuse or compromising on a limited charging speed. Indra has squeezed all the latest safety features inside the Smart PRO EV charger, so you can charge with confidence and peace of mind.
With full flexibility available on install method, the Indra Smart PRO EV charger can be connected via Wi-Fi, 4G or a hard-wired Ethernet connection.
The Smart PRO works like conventional chargers, but also offers a range of smart charging modes, designed to take advantage of local generation (e.g. solar PV), variable rate tariffs (e.g. Time of Use), as well as schedule charging according to live carbon intensity of grid power. In all modes, the Smart PRO calculates the best charging schedule that gets your EV ready when you need it.
Please note, Indra Chargers must be installed by an Indra approved installer. After ordering, we will call you to verify that you have an approved installer lined up. If not, we will be very happy to provide a quote.
